ASSISTANT : FITTING X1 (GRADING A)Qualifying Criteria :Grade 11 or equivalent qualificationProficient in English and any other of the 11 official languagesApplicant must possess good verbal communication skillsBasic Pump Fitting background will be advantageous1-2 years' experience in an industrialized environment is essential and requiredSouth African CitizenshipClear Criminal RecordResponsibilities :Provide efficient support within the Engineering Pump Fitting SectionWork a cycle or rotation of shiftsAssist Artisan(s) in carrying out their duties efficiently by providing support and carrying tool box, hand tools and other equipmentResponsible for good housekeeping in and around the working placeAbility to disassemble and re-assemble pumps and other associated equipment using hand toolsParticipate in all maintenance and breakdowns on both underground and surface pumpsManage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures and practicesAdhere to MHSA standards & Gold1's safety motto : "Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely"
