Assistant Financial Manager

Overseeing financial recording processes and preparation of monthly financial information up to trial balanceResponsible for month-end and ad hoc journal entries and general ledger managementReconciliation of intercompany loans and transactionsOverseeing month-end procedures and driving deadlinesReviewing creditors reconciliations and processesEnsuring timeous reconciliations of control accountsAssist with the management of debtor recoveries and help with overseeing of debtors functionResponsible for recordkeeping of assets and capturing monthly depreciation journalsAssist with management of inventory and responsible to oversee quarterly countsCompletion and submission of statutory reports such as VAT and PAYEAssist with maintaining and improving all areas of internal control to ensure adequate risk managementAssist the financial manager with compilation of annual budgetsAssist with the preparation of yearly financial packs for the auditorsAssist with the development of accounting systems and report writers to ensure accurate reportingAssisting the financial manager other tasks as may be needed or deemed fit after appointmentRequirements:BCom degree (Not required)At least 5 years of work experienceExcel advanced skills
