Assistant Financial Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the management of all account functions for certain businesses within the Group to ensure their effective and smooth functioning, whilst also ensuring all necessary payments are made, including statutory returns, wages and salaries.Responsibilities include:Management accounts for relevant branchesOverseeing and reviewing creditors reconciliation for relevant branchesOverseeing weekly wages administrationPension fund administrationCompleting and paying statutory returns (VAT, PAYE)Assisting with year-end audit requirementsAssisting with ad-hoc tasks as requestedAuthorising adhoc daily paymentsRequirements:B. Com or equivalent5 years applicable work experienceAdvanced financial accounting and financial controlStrong MS Excel skillsKnowledge of accounting packagesKnowledge of Pastel EvolutionSAGE people payroll knowledgePAYE knowledgeManagerial experience
