Assistant Financial Manager

A strong growing industrial and operational consulting company is looking for a dynamic Assistant Financial Manager to join their team in Pretoria, Gauteng. The company has shown really strong growth trends over the last 2 years, and as such this is an ideal opportunity for the right individual who would like to grow with the organization as it expands.This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles. As the Assistant Financial Manager you will assist senior management in overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Manage and maintain financial records in compliance with relevant accounting standards and legal requirements.Assist with monthly, quarterly, annual management reporting packs.Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations.Prepare statutory submissions such as VAT, PAYE, and income tax returns.Prepare monthly payroll.Qualifications and ExperienceProfessional Accountant (SA) or Associate General Accountant (AGA) designation (preferred).Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.Articles preferred, with a minimum 4 years total experience in an accounting role.Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero accounting is advantageous.Simplepay experience is also advantageous.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.SalaryR360 000 - R540 000 CTC per annum, highly dependent on candidate experience.
