Introduction
The assistant finance manager will be responsible for management reporting for the group using primarily the Board and BPC reporting tools, together with all aspects of reporting to Adapt IT's shareholder Volaris. The assistant finance manager will further be responsible for the execution of finance functions as delegated by Senior Finance Manager.
Responsibilities
BOARD reporting
Perform the day to day functioning and maintenance of the Board reporting tool.
Maintain full admin responsibility for the system maintenance and functioning.
Provide training and assistance to users of Board, providing and maintaining an up to date how to guide.
Work with the EPM team when required to build further functionalities and test the system.
Bi-annually review of User access/licenses.
Review the group results on Board and drive continuous improvement in reporting.
Monthly preparation and review of Board to BPC (Volaris reporting platform) recons and investigate differences and take corrective action if required.
Run intercompany differences report and follow up with respective parties to clear.
Responsible for the accuracy and data integrity on BOARD compared to the underlying ERP systems and the BPC platform.
Report system issues, document process and results.
Volaris reporting
Overall responsibility for Volaris monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, driving performance through the divisional and group finance teams.
Ensure all Volaris reporting deadlines are met, tracking for progress and escalating appropriately to meet deadlines.
Upload of monthly results from Board to Great Plains.
Preparation and review of quarterly tax provision packs.
Review and maintenance of the Adapt IT Group BPC structure and drive continuous improvement in the reporting.
Monthly preparation and posting of Volaris top side entries, maintaining detailed calculations.
Completion and maintenance of Volaris IFRS 16 schedules, and any other IFRS schedules as may be required from time to time.
Preparation of reconciliations in Blackline system.
Co-ordination of the internal and external audit requests, mainly from Volaris.
Monthly, quarterly and annual completion of Volaris reporting deliverables.
Preparation of Volaris quarterly board reports and papers.
Driving the Board to BPC integration, together with the full integration of the underlying ERP systems to Board.
Assisting with the integration of new acquisitions ensuring compliance with the Volaris policies.
Minimum Requirements
BComm Accounting (with honours and articles served preferable).
Experience in using financial accounting/consolidation systems.
Experience in MS packages with advanced excel skills.
Minimum 5 years experience.
Written and spoken English.
Technical skills: IFRS (focus on group accounting) and Taxation.
