Assistant Finance Manager

Manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers, delegating tasks and ensuring deadlines are met Review and present monthly management accounts, internal reports, and annual financial statements to senior management Oversee annual audits and reviews, ensuring timely and effective completion Supervise external and internal reporting, including compilation of management packs and compliance with regulatory requirements Ensure accurate submission of VAT returns, statutory documentation, and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions. Manage cash flow, prepare forecasts, and oversee daily operations of various bank accounts Handle debtors, and creditors, and liaise with equity partners on financial matters Oversee budgeting, expense management, and financial forecasting Maintain accurate records of stock, art, and property management Review payroll and manage HR-related tasks for direct reports Coordinate ad-hoc tasks as required by the organization Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial role within finance Proven experience in preparing management accounts and dealing with foreign currencies Strong communication skills, team management experience, and a positive disposition Exposure to international finance or travel is advantageous Qualification: Relevant finance or accounting degree SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred Professional designation preferred Experience in a similar role across diverse jurisdictions and industries Contact OLIVIA MELTZER on 021 418 1750 , quoting the Ref: CTF019604.
