Assistant Director: Assurance Services (Internal Control)

Minimum RequirementsAn appropriate Advance Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) majoring in Auditing and/or Financial Accounting; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in Internal Control, Governance or similar environment.
RecommendationSupervisory experience in Auditing, Accounting or similar environment.
Key Performance AreasProvide Assurance Services; Management of irregular, fruitless and wasteful expenditure and investigations; Report to key stakeholders on the financial governance and compliance environment; Co-ordination of internal and external auditors; Policy formulation, drafting of internal control policy and training.
CompetenciesKnowledge of the following: Report writing; Communication; Interpersonal relations; Flexibility;Teamwork; Accuracy; Aptitude of figures; Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc); Communication skills (written and verbal); Ability to work independently and as part of a team RemunerationR per annum (Salary level 9)Note on remuneration: Service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
