Main job function Core Purpose of the Job: To assist the Card and Payments Regulatory Senior Manager to manage the risk and reputation of the Bank in terms of card and payments as regulated by the Payments Association of South Africa, Payment Industry Board, VISA, Bankserv and the National Payments System of the South African Reserve Bank.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB INCLUDE: Transactional Banking Channels: Assist in the strategic planning of payment Collaborate on justifications for new payment projects focusing on Manage compliance with service providers and regulatory Serve as an escalation point for regulatory Approve enhancements to transactional Conduct market research for product Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with service providers and Coordinate meetings with key regulatory Liaise with different business units on payment Be available as an emergency Compliance: Identify and address regulatory Ensure adherence to regulatory Represent the bank at relevant regulatory Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to transactional Support policy and procedure Respond to audit findings and implement Product Development: Innovate and enhance existing banking Assist in developing product specifications and strategic Direct the implementation of new Service Excellence: Foster a culture of service Measure and review service delivery against Analyze customer feedback to improve QUALIFICATIONS: A BCom degree or LLB is required PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: At least 5 years of banking experience on a supervisory level of which at least 3 years must be in the transactional banking, internet banking and card environment. Must have knowledge of E-commerce Experience in Transactional Banking Regulatory requirements KNOWLEDGE: Must completely understand Transactional Banking suite of products Understand all components of the system (back end and front end) Knowledge of the Banking Systems and Transactional Banking systems An understanding and knowledge of a Banks Policies and Procedures with a view to practically implementing same Knowledge of Banking products and services Knowledge of the budgetary and financial processes Knowledge of company's Code of Business Conduct Sound understanding of Reserve Bank reporting requirements and other statutory reporting Sound understanding of regulatory requirements Proficiency in Microsoft products Sound industry knowledge A Consultant will be in touch if you are shortlisted for the position.
