Assistant Accountant - Paarl

Key Responsibilities:Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable and receivable, and other financial statements on a regular basis.Invoicing & Billing: Generate and send invoices, monitor outstanding payments, and follow up on overdue accounts.Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate employee compensation.Expense Management: Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring that all receipts and documentation are appropriately filed and tracked.Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing tax returns.Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting software ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.General Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed. Requirements:Experience: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounting assistant, or in a similar role.Skills:Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficient in accounting softwareExcellent organizational and time-management skills.Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Bookkeeping certifications or similar qualifications.Experience with payroll processing and tax filing.
