You will also support the accountant with monthly financial transaction postings and reconciliations. Your key duties will include:Conducting stock takes, sample tests, and verifying biological assets and inventoryCapturing and reconciling monthly biological assets and inventory dataInvestigating and reporting on variances in biological assets and inventoryReviewing and improving stock control processesAllocating and valuing monthly costs for biological assets and inventoryAssisting with process and product costing analysisReviewing sales invoices and supporting documentationAssisting debtors and creditors clerks with query resolutionReviewing monthly cashbook reconciliationsProcessing and reviewing weekly and monthly payment requestsCompiling and processing monthly accruals and general journalsReconciling monthly fixed asset transactions and compiling fixed asset registersCollating monthly control account documentationCompleting VAT returnsAssisting with external and internal audit requestsSupporting the Accountant and GCFM with group reporting requestsWhat We're Looking For:In-depth knowledge of inventory, dispatch, and production documentation processesProficiency in process and product cost allocationStrong Microsoft Excel skillsExceptional attention to detail and analytical skillsSolution-driven with a strong sense of responsibilityExperience in manufacturing is advantageousExperience with Navision or Business Central accounting packages is beneficialMinimum Qualifications and Skills:Completed grade 12Tertiary qualification in accounting or financeCompleted articlesActive studies towards SAIPA, CIMA, or ACCA are beneficialMinimum of 3 years' experience in a similar roleTeam player with strong verbal and written communication skillsValid driver's license and willingness to travel
