We have a global presence and Oceana is a black-owned company and a level 1 B-BBEE contributor.We're looking for a talented Assistant Accountant to join our team and take charge of our day-to-day statutory finance functions. If you're passionate about finance and ready to take the next step in your career, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!Key Responsibilities:Process day-to-day accounting transactions using SAP.Manage purchase orders for Admin functions.Assist in maintaining the statutory fixed assets register.Prepare supplier and customer master data changes.Prepare intercompany invoices and credit notes.Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.Monitor and implement financial procedures and internal controls.Prepare daily cashflow forecasts.Prepare monthly detailed overheads reports and assist with cost analysis.Support in budget and quarterly forecasts preparation.Prepare year end audit packs and liaise with auditors on audit queries.Prepare payroll inputs.Prepare monthly VAT and withholding tax submissions.Requirements:Experience with SAP is essential.Strong financial accounting knowledge and understanding of taxation and VAT.Highly accurate with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.B. Com (Accounting) Degree or equivalent.Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.In support of the company's Employment Equity Plan, applicants from designated groups will be given preference for this position.
