Assistant Accountant

Join to apply for the Assistant Accountant role at Total Recruitment Solutions.Responsibilities:Debtors management (critical - we need strong debtors management experience to follow up with customers on invoicing, statements, payments, and so forth).Check, capture and verify source documents such as sales orders, invoices, receipts, computer printouts.Reconcile and balance all accounts.Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.Prepare/capture payments and bank deposits.Comply with relevant reporting requirements.Assist with audits.Maintain a complete filing system to support financial records.Sales admin assistance.Other duties as required from time to time.Minimum Requirements:3 – 5 years' experience in a similar role.An associate degree in accounting, finance, or business (advantageous).Knowledge of bookkeeping practices (Sage ERP Pastel Evolution).Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.Attention to detail.Information collection and monitoring.Problem analysis and solving.Excellent communication skills – linked to debtors management.Confidentiality and integrity.Seniority level:Mid-Senior levelEmployment type:Full-timeJob function:Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries:ManufacturingGet notified about new Assistant Accountant jobs in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
