Assistant Accountant

Key Requirements:5 years experience working at an accounting firmMust have own PC/laptop with reliable fast internetProficient in English, both written and spoken, at a professional office levelIn-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and reconciliationComputer literate with exposure to various accounting packages, payroll systems, and good working knowledge of e-filingMedium level of Excel knowledge essential (Filters, Pivot tables)Working knowledge of annual financial statementsKey Responsibilities:Bookkeeping, reconciliations, VAT preparation and submissionPayrollFinancial statements and ad hoc accounting-related tasksSecretarial duties - manage/update client management systemBasic CIPC updatesRegularly check e-filing system for SARS correspondenceBeneficial ownership updates - CIPC and MasterAssist with financial year-end schedule and statements
