Assistant Accountant (3 Months Contract)

Purpose of the roleResponsible for the day-to-day statutory finance function of the company OGL, including providing financial support to the business units ("BU") to accurately track and manage financial performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess day-to-day accounting transactions for all finance related modules in SAPCreate purchase orders for Admin functionAssist in the maintenance of statutory fixed assets registerPrepare supplier and customer master data changes and additions requestsProcess intercompany invoices and credit notesCreate journal entriesPreparing of balance sheet reconciliations and monthly schedulesMonitor and implement financial procedures and internal controls as directedPreparing daily cashflow forecastsPreparation of monthly overheads detailed reports and reconcile to trial balanceAssisting BU's with detailed cost analysisAssist in preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecastsPreparation of year end audit packsLiaise with internal and external Auditors on audit queriesPrepare and submit payroll inputsPrepare monthly VAT and Withholdings Tax submissions to SARSKnowledge, Skills And AttributesSAP experience essentialHigh degree of current financial accounting and understanding of taxation and VATHigh degree of accuracyExcellent Interpersonal communication skillsAbility to apply initiative, good judgement, and creative thinkingMeticulous attention to detailGood business acumenAbility to work under pressure and be deadline drivenQualifications And ExperienceB.Comm (Accounting) Degree or equivalentMinimum of 3 years post qualification experienceBehavioural CompetenciesCustomer centric and service orientatedAbility to build relationshipsAbility to think quickly and find alternate solutionsMulti-taskingAttention to detail / MeticulousGood planning and organizational skillsGood verbal & written communication skillsResilient with high stress toleranceAssertivenessGood Business Acumen
