Requirements: Matric Grade 12, Bachelors Degree in Asset management, logistics, business administration, supply chain management, accounting or a related field. (Please attach all qualifications) 3-5 years proven experience in a large company asset management or a similar role 3-5 years proven experience in strong asset management knowledge 3-5 years experience in licensing procedures Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices including depreciation an impairments of assets Strong claims management knowledge Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures Articulate and good communication skills Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills Excellent analytical and decision-making skills People orientated and a good team player Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proactive and self-motivated Ability to work autonomously Service Delivery orientated Oversee all 3 rd Party Insurance claims Proficiency in fleet management (fuel and tracking) software and other relevant technology Familiarity with road and traffic regulations Proficiency on MS Office and knowledge of ACCPAC accounting ERP system will be an advantage Job Functions: Oversee the entire assets register, including vehicles, IT equipment, plant and machinery and furniture, fittings and signage Create a full register of all vehicles and registration documentation Monitor and pay all fines and then allocate charge via HR/Payroll to driver Ensure change of ownership of sold vehicles Ensure vehicles have updated licenses Ensure all maintenance costs are approved and monitored via finance department Ensure all road vehicles are fitted with a tracker-type system which is active Monitor the tracker system for movements out of defined areas and over the set speed Continue to maintain a Fixed Asset Register for 4R including depreciation, disposal and cost allocation Ensure CAPEX is completed and updated, as per budget and cost control protocols Identify, source and place orders of new vehicles as needed, ensuring they meet company requirements and standards Monitor costs for motor vehicles maintenance and fuel costs, as per maintenance repairs protocols Monitor fuel management system to ensure compliance and identify fraudulent use of fleet vehicles, as per compliance protocols Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed for insurance claims as per insurance guidelines Follow up on outstanding insurance claims Assist and with adhoc responsibilities in line with operational requirements.
