Our international client is seeking an ASPIRE digital platform Project Support SME (subject matter expert) to join their team.
IMPORTANT : This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of being extended.
Responsibilities: General Responsibilities: Support all aspects of the project and execution of process changes focused on operations and manufacturing.
Coordinate and collaborate with the ASPIRE global template team, local deployment manager, local MFCs (Main Functional Contacts), Cape Town Teams, and colleagues from Mannheim and Penzberg (Germany) to identify the best template/solution for Cape Town's requirements.
Communicate the impact of business process changes to relevant functional employees and stakeholders.
Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and project team to define, collate, document, and communicate data migration and verification requirements.
Collaborate with SMEs and other MFCs to analyze, generate, and capture missing master data and correct issues in real-time.
Provide technician lab support to manufacturing teams as required.
Coordinate, execute, and report on test cases as part of the system migration.
Assist in creating, verifying, and finalizing training materials for relevant functional employees.
Data Cleansing and Validation: Conduct thorough data cleansing activities to ensure accuracy and consistency for the SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration.
Clean up and verify recipes, Bill of Materials (BOM), and other master data objects.
Master Data Management: Review and validate master data objects, such as material masters, ensuring data integrity across the system.
Support the migration process by verifying and correcting master data discrepancies.
Support Resource Planning: Collect and analyze data to develop labour pools and labour hours, optimizing resource allocation during the migration process.
Assist in creating and updating production data related to resource groups, labour pools, and associated data.
Key Skills: General Skills: Knowledge and experience with ERP system setup (SAP) and maintenance, with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
Effective analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google's suite of applications (Mail, Calendar, Google Meets, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Drive, Google Workspaces, Chats).
Demonstrated track record of effective stakeholder management.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Specific Skills: Strong SAP knowledge with a focus on master data management, recipes, BOM, and other key modules (SAP ECC and S/4HANA would be a plus).
Basic understanding of resource planning concepts, including labour pools and resource groups.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in data cleansing and validation activities.
Ability to analyze large datasets, identify inconsistencies or errors, and implement corrective measures.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in Engineering (Industrial, Process, Chemical), Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Information Science, or related field.
Experience: 2-5 years of general laboratory or research experience working with data and hands-on experience with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Job Summary: This role involves supporting the migration from SAP ECC to S/4HANA by coordinating process changes, managing data migration, and validating master data.
The position requires strong SAP knowledge, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
