This role is responsible for leading the Asda Magazine & Editorial Content team, developing the strategy for, and executing, high quality editorial content for use across Asda Magazine, website, and social channels.

"That's more like it.""Find your role"This role reports to the Senior Manager - Brand, Campaign & Content, and sits in the wider Asda Brand Communications team. The Asda Magazine and Editorial Content Manager has 3 direct reports.
The focus of this role is to develop and execute the Editorial Content strategy, including the end to end creation and publication of the Asda Magazine, and high quality content that is published on relevant Asda websites and social channels across the year, supporting the wider Customer & Comms strategy.
In this role you'll:
Lead the team to create and develop best in class content that answers target customer & business needs and supports Asda's brand & customer objectives.Coach and lead the team to develop in their own roles to become subject matter experts, with a collaborative work ethic and team-player mindset.Support the team to share and celebrate content and publications work in key meetings such as marketing huddles and creative reviews.Effectively manage the Content & Publications agency.Ensure our publications content is in line with our guidelines and champions the Asda tone of voice, creative style and objectives of the Asda Magazine.Actively seek to be a subject matter expert and continue to be on the pulse of innovation.Be responsible for working with the Insight & Agency teams to ensure we have a robust insight and measurement plan to measure the effectiveness of our content and customer/reader reactions – and learn and adapt from the insight results.Be accountable for the overall budget, ensuring the teams' budget champions manage the budget effectively, spotting opportunities for efficiencies and clearly communicating commentary in monthly P&L meetings.Work closely with the Organic Social, Paid Social, Campaign, Website, POS, CRM and George Marketing teams to maximise the usage of the content across channels and ensure integration with wider messages.Work closely with the Asda Media Partnership team to ensure the targeted revenue is achieved for Asda Magazine, as well as working on innovative new ways to generate revenue.Support the wider content teams across Asda where relevant, building strong relationships to ensure alignment and efficiencies."Let's find out about you" Strong attention to detail and creative eye.A proven track record in managing agencies with the ability to inspire.A broad understanding of marketing across publications, content and social, with a focus on engaging editorial content.Ability to innovate and think outside the box.Awareness and consideration of insight and measurement – and experience in interpreting results to adapt.Excellent communication and influencing skills.Ability to lead a team to land projects within reactive timescales.Experience in coaching and leading a team within a fast paced environment.The ability to multi-task and work in an agile and flexible manner.Drive for spotting efficiencies and experienced in managing budgets."Find your everything at Asda" - bringing brighter living within everyone's reach."
