About this career opportunity We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer/Technologist – Building Services to join our team in either Johannesburg or Durban office.
Working very closely with colleagues and clients, you will be accountable for interpreting the client brief and developing designs at all stages from scheme through to detail, construction monitoring, commissioning and close out. Acting freely to investigate solutions, you will explore options, work closely with external collaborators, and lead a team to develop and convey design solutions.
As well as the production of design information, a key part of role will be managing and supervising colleagues in the production and refinement of designs to ensure that we produce the highest quality product for our clients. You will be accountable to managing and monitoring resources to deliver the agreed commercial performance of your projects. During the construction and close-out stages of your projects you will manage contract administration (including financial management), site monitoring, commissioning, and close-out of project.
You will be an inquisitive and creative, solution-orientated yet collaborative, persuasive, and engaging individual who gives their all to ensure the client is happy and the solution both high-quality and practical. You will be accountable to a project director/manager for day-to-day delivery, and you will be provided with formal and informal support to develop your skills. You will liaise with other disciplines within the regional office and elsewhere within the company. You may be required to work away from your normal office from time to time and be willing and able to travel internationally to project sites.
I s this role right for you? We are looking for the following skills:
