IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this "mine of the future". Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
NQF 4 Relevant Trade Certificate
MV Certification
First Aid Certificate is advantageous.
Fire Fighting course is advantageous.
Valid Code EB (08) Driver's license.
Fault finding skills.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 4 years relevant experience in a mining environment
Solid experience of power system protection is essential.
Experience in switching LV, MV and HV systems is essential.
Responsibilities:
Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring and lighting systems.
Perform general electrical maintenance.
Electrical faults findings.
Wiring of communication system.
Manual rolling up of the cables.
Maintaining transformer and motor control panel.
Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
Inspect transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring or fixtures.
Perform circuit breaker corrective maintenance.
Maintain heating and air conditioning systems.
