Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Artisan Electrician to be placed in Engineering Workshop, near Rustenburg, North West. The successful candidate will report to the Foreman Engineering. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South African (HDSA) candidates. Applications are only open to South African Citizens / Permanent Residents.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairsCompetent, motivated, disciplined and positive teamEffective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiativesEngineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards, specifications and schedulesElectrical equipment installations are constructed and maintained according to agreed standards, procedures and specificationsEffective self-management and alignment with M&RC valuesSuitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills: Grade 12 or NQF 4 equivalentSection 26 Electrical Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered bodyValid First Aid CertificateValid Gas Testing CertificateGood communication skills in EnglishAnalytical and attentive to detailTeam leadership and management skillsSelf-motivated, resourceful problem-solver within agreed parametersAble to make decisions within agreed parametersSound learning agility and able to adapt to new technologiesSuitable candidates must have the following work experience: 5 years' mining industry experience (underground, surface and plant)5 years' trade experience as an ElectricianConstruction experience (Grout Plant Construction)All appointments will be done in line with our employment equity strategy.
