This position will entail coordinating all the events on the Estate as well as a Sales function for Wine & Art in the Wine Shop at the Lodges & Spa.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEMPLOYMENT TYPE: PermanentSECTOR: HospitalityBASIC SALARY: Market RelatedSTART DATE: A.S.A.P / ImmediateREQUIREMENTS:Grade 12 and relevant tertiary qualification (degree/diploma);2 – 3 years' experience in a sales capacity will be beneficial, especially an art sales role;WSET qualification advantageous;Previous experience with wine and/or art sales;Computer literate;Professional manner and attitude;Excellent communication skills in English;Self-discipline & responsible;Proactive and team player;Adaptable and flexible;Alert and innovative;Exceptional proven cross-functional collaborator who can work on multiple priorities at the same time.DUTIES:Promoting and selling of Wine, African art and assist with shipping as required;Stock-take procedures & replenishment of wine;General administrative duties;Setting up tasting area and presenting tutored wine tastings, cellar & art tours if required;Ensure presentation, quality and temperature of all drinks are correct;Manage quotes, invoices and payments;Handle all event & supplier enquiries;Finalize menus for functions with guests and the Head Chef;Conduct site inspections with potential clients;Organize and manage in-house events and functions with the relevant manager and the Marketing Team as required;Coordinate pre-event correspondence and distributing function sheets to all departments (10 days, 5 days and 1 day before event);Should you meet all the requirements, apply on our website at www.statusstaffing.com today.
