We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with expertise in the design, analysis, and development of armored vehicles and related systems. The role will involve working on all phases of vehicle design, from concept through to final production.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop mechanical systems and components for armored vehicles, including hulls, turrets, suspension, and drivetrains.Perform detailed stress and fatigue analysis on mechanical components.Work closely with other engineering teams (e.g., electrical, systems, and production) to ensure the seamless integration of subsystems.Conduct research and propose innovative design solutions to meet customer specifications and operational requirements.Develop and maintain detailed technical drawings, CAD models, and documentation for all designs.Review and validate design concepts through testing and simulation.Ensure compliance with safety standards, military specifications, and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure the feasibility and manufacturability of designs.Contribute to the development of prototype models and production vehicles.Support the ongoing improvement of vehicle performance, durability, and cost efficiency.Required Qualifications:BEng Degree in Mechanical Engineering.Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably in the defense or automotive or mining equipment industry.Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD).Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and other simulation tools.Knowledge of materials science, including advanced composites and armored materials.Familiarity with military standards and specifications (e.g., MIL-STD).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.Strong communication and documentation skills.Salary: R Job Reference #: 1145959
