Job Purpose: To provide visible patrolling on sites, immediate armed reaction and escorting, incident management, close protection, and operational support for critical services that support the operations of the company and to ensure that all matters are addressed in a prompt, efficient, and professional manner.Education and Experience:PSIRA Registered (Minimum Grade D).Matric.Valid Business Purposes Firearm Competency.One (1) to three (3) years Armed Response experience.Key Receivers:Project Managers.Task teams.Operational staff.Clients.Contractors.Local Authorities.Key Performance Areas:Reporting.Site Checks.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Respond to threat situations in line with Standard Operating Procedures and governing laws, prioritizing lives involved.React to threats without posing a risk to the public.Follow company policies when reporting incidents.Assess situations upon positive alarms and keep the Control Room and colleagues informed.Perform arrests and ensure lawful handover to SAPS.Ensure response times meet stipulated SOPs.Check premises thoroughly to ensure public safety.Document crime scene activity with detailed notes and photographs.Execute waylay operations as needed.Reporting:Record all incidents with full details as prescribed in the SOP.Perform proper handover at the end of each shift.Ensure firearm and vehicle handover complies with company policies.Inform relevant parties of any discrepancies and follow up on actions taken.Site Checks:Conduct daily site inspections covering all vulnerable areas.Ensure visibility at standoff points and during patrols.Report suspicious activity to control room and NOC.Investigate unusual circumstances and assist in preventing crime.Inform Control Room of any site defects.Develop relationships with law enforcement and clients to combat crime.Formulate preventative measures for crime-related risks.Conduct research into reasons for criminal activities and make recommendations.Evaluate protection status on hotspots and report to NOC with recommendations.General:Liaise with clients and management for smooth operations.Handle client complaints and requests efficiently.Maintain the company vehicle in neat and serviceable condition.Treat clients with respect and maintain the professional image of the company.Health and Safety:Use equipment as intended and report hazards to the SHEQ Manager.Be responsible for personal and others' health and safety.Adhere to regulations on consumables and equipment maintenance.Quality:Adhere to the company's Quality Manual, Policies, and Procedures.Ensure departmental objectives are met and reported to ISO.Engage in measurement, analysis, and improvement of QMS.Special Conditions:Employees will be required to undergo necessary training to improve service delivery and comply with job requirements.
