Pure is looking for an AVP to develop, activate, and drive growth of the Portworx platform as head of Portworx International Sales.
Working closely with the Global VP of Sales, the AVP will build and execute a multi-year program to unlock massive growth across the EMEA and APJ markets.
The AVP is responsible for the development, management, and growth of the go-to-market programs independently but with a strong spirit of collaboration with Pure's existing sales teams.
This high growth role will have responsibility for aligning, leading, and managing the Sales and Solution Engineering (Cloud Native Architects) team in EMEA and APJ with the potential to expand responsibilities to SDR and Renewal.
The successful AVP will work in tandem with cross-functional teams including: Customer Experience, Sales Operations, channel operations, enablement, legal, and the global partner organization to develop the Portworx business unit.
The candidate will lead the development of our customer ecosystem, provide critical market feedback on product and go-to-market opportunities, develop and drive Sales Process and Management Process excellence, define a culture of continuous improvement, lead with data and clear goals for Business Results; Customer and Partner Loyalty; Employee Development; Operational Excellence.
Responsibilities Include: Create strategies and lead efforts to maximize sell-to efforts for Portworx products across EMEA & APJ across multi-year horizons.
With the support of Customer Experience and Marketing, acquire and develop a base of wildly successful Portworx customers who contribute and participate in a thriving customer ecosystem.
Drive a rigorous and value-based Management and Sales process that is optimized for SaaS software solutions that require customer operational change.
Drive strategic alignment with key stakeholders and leadership within Pure, leading with transparency and passion.
Identify and activate direct engagement with partners & end users and all routes to market.
Successfully position and differentiate Portworx technology.
Build cross-functional go-to-market plans and own driving for results.
Lead the management, and ongoing enhancement of Portworx in region improving the competencies and readiness of our teams.
Lead with data, define clear goals, measuring progress and informing judgment.
Define strategy, programs and demand generation success metrics.
Oversee communications, social media & web metrics.
Work with marketing to drive programs and events to identify new prospects.
Keep abreast of competition, competitive issues and products.
Drive a quarterly and rolling cadence with Rolling 3 Months Forecast and performance on vs. Quarterly targets.
Rolling 9 month Pipeline for months 4-12, Measurement of Pipeline in terms for Growth; Progression; and Workable Pipeline per quarter.
Participate in, and the leadership of, sales meetings, customer & partner meetings, product seminars and trade shows.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE Experience managing an International go-to-market business.
Demonstrated experience developing direct sales strategies, best practices.
Working knowledge of the Cloud Native industry and Kubernetes ecosystem, opensource, DevOps, Application Modernization; Developer Experience.
High level consumer of SFDC, Clari, and a Data-driven leadership approach.
Excellent program management ability to document progress and communicate results.
Experience in the use of analytics to measure and analyze impact.
Ability to manage vendors and 3rd party partners on project.
Strong influential and decision-making skills.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
