Area Sales Manager

Our client, a dynamic organisation in the FMCG industry, comprising various related entities, is currently seeking a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager to manage, motivate, and direct Sales Agents and Distributors in the Gauteng, Great North area, and parts of the Northwest.
Key Responsibilities: Manage Retail Agents and visit retail outlets, including independent stores, to ensure stock is properly packed, counts are accurate, and PI labels are correctly displayed.Address and resolve any issues in stores, being hands-on and willing to assist with shelf packing when necessary.Achieve and manage sales targets, gross profit, and budgets.Oversee automated ordering systems.Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, ensuring product visibility and sales target achievement.Identify and develop new business opportunities within the retail and independent channels.Conduct monthly meetings with agents and representatives.Be prepared for country trips as required, spending time away from home when necessary.Knowledge and Skills: Grade 12 qualification.Tertiary education in Sales & Marketing is beneficial.Extensive experience in FMCG retail, with a history of calling on retail stores. Experience with SPAR is a bonus.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a regional FMCG role.Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel.Courses in negotiation, sales management, and key account management are advantageous.Valid driver's licence.What We Offer: Market-related remuneration.Incentive scheme based on performance.Salary: R Job Reference #: 1147283
