While crane industry experience isn't essential, you should have a background in general construction sales or hire.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities of an Area Sales Manager Driving sales growth through the development of trading relationships with existing clients and a strong new business pipelineCRM platform maintenance to ensure constant accuracy of client activitiesDealing effectively and promptly with sales leads from across the businessEnsuring the targeted number of appointments and meetings is met or exceeded in line with targeted KPI objectivesAchieving predetermined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in line with specific pricing guidelinesNegotiating contracts and framework agreements with new clients within agreed parametersProviding regular updates and forecasts on pipeline, projects, and frameworks to the Regional Sales ManagerPerson Specification Education/Knowledge/Experience for an Area Sales Manager Prior sales role(s) and proven influencing and negotiation abilityAn understanding of crane hire and the market is helpful but not essentialA high achiever who is career-oriented and likes to work to challenging goalsEducated to A-Level or equivalentIT literate and familiar with Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and WordDesirable construction-related sector experienceSkills/Abilities Ability to write articulate and effective proposals and reports in response to customer needsAbility to deliver value-added presentations to clientsAbility to negotiate and build strong relationshipsA firm understanding of the sales process, including the ability to close a saleStrong customer focus and understanding of customer relationships and business processesAbility to identify and resolve issues; able to collate and analyze data - PC literateAbility to work under pressure, be self-motivated, committed to meeting deadlines, and manage multiple requirements effectivelyDemonstrates the ability to understand customer needs and get things doneBenefits: Competitive Basic Salary + Bonus + Car
