Our client is looking for a dynamic and driven Area Sales Manager to join their team.
This role involves overseeing sales operations across a designated territory, ensuring that sales targets are met, and developing new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B sales, particularly within the manufacturing and production industry, and be passionate about delivering exceptional service and innovative solutions to clients.
Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets within the assigned territory.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.Identify and pursue new business opportunities by actively seeking out and engaging potential clients within the manufacturing and production sector.Provide in-depth product knowledge and technical support to customers, offering tailored solutions that meet their specific production needs.Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.Collaborate closely with internal teams, including product development and technical support, to align sales strategies with business objectives.Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to senior management.Manage and mentor a team of sales representatives, setting clear objectives and providing ongoing support and development.Key Skills:Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within the manufacturing and production industry.Strong negotiation and closing skills with the ability to drive results.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.Strong leadership and team management abilities.Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.Valid drivers license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industry standards is a plus.Qualifications:Grade 12.
Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales management role, preferably within the manufacturing or production industry.
