Our client in the Power Tool industry is looking for an experienced and qualified Area Manager (Sales) (KZN/Swaziland) .
The candidate's responsibilities would include supporting and developing an existing sales team, communicating and negotiating with group accounts, developing solid long-term relationships, communicating with Head Office (JHB), and developing and achieving sales within the region.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE AREA MANAGER: - Is it hard work?
Absolutely because guiding and leading a team of 10 or more is though.
- Traveling throughout the region and having a thorough knowledge of all the areas will be necessary.
- You'll need to oversee turnover and sales performance and analyse margins of both product and individual stores' performance.
- Current sales team are already true professionals, trained to provide world-class service.
They need solid, professional leadership.
- Top management needs to be informed of all challenges and changes in the market.
- Industry brands must always be presented in the best possible way in all areas.
- Expect innovative ideas and approaches to be discussed.

QUALIFICATIONS - KNOWLEDGE - EXPERIENCE: - Tertiary qualification in Sales Management, Business Marketing or Business Administration.
- Financial qualifications would be an advantage.
- IT and wide computer skills qualifications.
OTHER: - Must live in Durban or Pinetown.
- Willing to travel and sleep out.
SKILLS: - Superb leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills.
- Self-starter with a strategic and creative mindset.
