Marketing Area ManagerMy client is an international Chinese-based earthmoving company located with a branch in JHB in South Africa.
They are looking for an experienced Marketing Area Manager to develop and manage marketing programs in specific channels, support business objectives, lead acquisition, foster customer retention, execute business development, provide sales support, and advance brand building.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlanning, directing, and implementing sales, profit, and strategic objectives.Managing and directing the team.Setting standards and objectives for staff and different departments.Optimizing and overseeing operations to ensure efficiency.Leading a team of consultants towards effective collaboration and attainment of goals.Undertaking sound financial management to ensure the company is profitable and stays within budget.Ensuring compliance with the company's policies and operational guidelines.Dealing with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.Evaluating performance using key metrics and addressing issues to improve it.Reporting to senior executives on progress and management issues.Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements and skills:Bachelor's qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Business.3 or 4 years' experience as an area manager, sales manager, assistant manager, or similar managerial role will be an advantage.Candidates with sales experience of at least 5-7 years in Engineering Machinery/Heavy Equipment Machinery (Mobile Crane/Tower Crane and Concrete) industry are a must.Knowledge of performance evaluation metrics and principles.Sound understanding of operations and standards for success.Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation.Excellent problem-solving abilities.Excellent abilities in financial and operations planning.Package & Remuneration30,000 - 60,000 basic depending on experience and skill, plus commission.
