Area Manager Crop Protection

Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a National Diploma or Degree in AgricultureMust have an AVCASA or BASOS certificate, or must be obtained within a yearMinimum 5 years experience within a similar roleComputer literate in Microsoft applications is essentialMust have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel when requiredPrevious experience in vegetable crops is preferredThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Developing and implementing strategies for business growth within the area.Designing and developing innovative products with the Product Development Team.Providing technical advice to agents on the use of products on various crops.Assisting distributors to develop solutions for crops.Managing logistics and supply chain arrangements for depots regarding stock.Managing forecasts within the area for each depot or sales agent.Providing training on company products or crops for study groups or distributors.Managing and controlling consignment stock in depots to increase sales and reduce stock levels (in coordination with the logistics department).Visiting all agents allocated to the area from time to time (at least once every 1-2 months, depending on the number of agents).Executing demonstration trials and reporting on results.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidatesSalary: RMarket Related Job Reference #: 1138034
