Area Manager – Citrus & Grapes – Groblersdal/Marble Hall

My Client, one of the country's leading fruit exporters, recruits for an Area Manager to join their talented team of experts. This opportunity will suit a dynamic professional looking for a challenging and rewarding career within a global environment.
The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Business Manager: Citrus and be based in the Groblersdal / Marble Hall area.
Requirements:

A relevant tertiary qualification (preferably a degree/diploma in Agriculture/Commerce).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in fruit management and export (preferably citrus and grapes).
Technical knowledge of citrus fruits, packaging, and quality policies.
Familiarity with producers.
Excellent communication skills at various levels, including colleagues, producers, and third parties involved in the area.
Intermediate level computer skills (MS Office).
Willingness to travel.
Own transport is essential.
Experience with GlobalGap, Siza, and HACCP will be advantageous.

Job Description:

Procurement of fruit (Products: Citrus and Grapes).
Providing a service to Product Managers and producers/suppliers.
Implementation and maintenance of fruit quality and food safety.
Involvement in logistics during the season to ensure smooth fruit flow.
Ensuring operational and logistical processes are carried out according to market allocations and packaging instructions.
Liaising with relevant stakeholders.
Assisting other departments and operational activities.
Public relations.
Collecting information for necessary departments.
Assisting with administrative tasks.
