About the Role As an Architect, you will provide effective architectural and structural design for the Lexis Nexis Legal & Professional business Unit. You will be ensuring ongoing development, maintenance, and delivery of technical knowledge and expertise. Alongside this, you will be determining the technical feasibility of development projects.
Responsibilities Acting as a conduit between Global Architecture (Enterprise Architects) and the Engineering or Development teamsLeading teams toward problem-resolution, identifying, researching, and coordinating resources to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issuesTranslating findings into alternatives/solutions, identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-makingGuiding technical direction and architecture evolution via reviews and on-floor leadershipMonitoring system health and design and write proposals to remedy the cause of negative trendsResearching industry advancements and building alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunitiesRequirements Have a BS degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experienceHave excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audienceHave an excellent understanding of programming languages, code, and databaseHave an expert-level knowledge in programming language(s); e.g., .Net, Java, HTML, Perl, C++, C#, PHP, etc,Have an understanding of Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, and Declarative LanguagesHave a solid working knowledge of Network Design, Storage System Architecture, Service-Oriented Architecture technologies, or Parallel Processing ArchitecturesBe able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills when dealing with multiple priorities, able to delegate effectivelyBe a natural problem solver, able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues
