REPORTING TO THE APPLICATIONS MANAGER JOB PURPOSE: Technical support for commissioning, operating and maintenance of installed equipment with specific attention to maintenance contracts, repairs and spares. The role includes sales of spares. JOB FUNCTION: Sales: Quarterly and annual sales targets are met Validation of installed database of process equipment and acquisition of related process and operational data Customer Service: Call reports are prepared in time and distributed to stakeholders All client requests are responded to within 24 hours Process and mechanical support as required, designated clients are called on as per schedule Improvement areas are identified and strategies implemented for added value opportunities Immediate action is taken on non-compliance issues Technical input and support for quotes/tenders is provided as required Training for clients, operators and other plant personnel as required Technical Support: Commissioning/inspection check lists are prepared and reviewed as required Part identification on spares/breakdown machines as required Repairs and maintains client machines Installation, commissioning, operating and maintenance assistance is provided as required Validation of process data against equipment simulation and performance prediction models Marketing: Market research is conducted in designated areas and reported on Market related information is provided as per management need Quality and Safety Adhere to all safety procedures as per business and OHSA requirements. Assist in compilation and updating of operating and maintenance manuals QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS: Millwright trade test certificate At least 3 years mechanical experience with machine parts and assembly Displays advanced knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance Displays good sales ability, continuous learner, quality orientated, customer focused, problem solver, has high quality work standards and good communication skills Proficient in MS Suite
