IntroductionQuantum Foods has a career opportunity within its Nova Feeds Division for an Animal Scientist to join their dynamic team. This position will primarily be responsible for providing technical support to the business and customers as well as feed formulation. Position will be situated in Malmesbury and report directly to the Technical Manager.
ResponsibilitiesManage feed raw materials matrixes and conduct new formulation feasibility studiesDesign & maintain feed specificationsProvide technical support to productionMonitor and assist in final product monitoringProcurement and pricing supportManage NIR data and informationQualificationsPost graduate studies in animal nutrition would be advantageousMinimum of 4-6 years' experienceUnderstanding and knowledge of formulation softwareAdvanced computer literacy and proficiency in ExcelKnowledge and experience of statistical analyses will be advantageousPlanning and reporting skillsHighly motivated and self-starterTeam playerValid driver's licenseOwn transportAt Quantum Foods, we are committed to Employment Equity and offer a competitive salary package and benefits.
