The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native Android mobile applications.WHAT WE EXPECT FROM OUR ANDROID DEVELOPER: Application Development:Design and implement new application features.Optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Code Maintenance:Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.User Interface Design:Work closely with UI/UX designers to create intuitive and attractive user interfaces.Implement responsive designs that provide a seamless experience across different devices.Testing and Quality Assurance:Develop and execute unit tests to ensure application reliability.Identify and fix bugs in a timely manner.Documentation:Maintain comprehensive documentation of application architecture and design.Document code and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing.Collaboration:Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical guidance.Preferred Skills:Experience with mobile application security practices.Knowledge of CI/CD tools and methodologies.Proven experience as a native Android developerKnowledge of Material Design principles and best practices for Android development.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS:• Must be a South African Citizen• Must have a valid Driver's Licence• No Criminal record• No Fraud record• Good Credit RecordIf you would like to apply for the position please do so via our website:Scroll to the bottom of the careers page.
