Analytics Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Analytics Engineer to join our data team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between data engineers and analysts, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for transforming raw data into a clean, organized, and efficient data structure, ensuring that stakeholders have access to reliable insights and metrics.

We are looking for enthusiastic and resourceful engineers who have a keen interest in both business and technology. You want to help teams make informed decisions and have the ability to put yourself in your stakeholders' shoes, allowing you to develop solutions that enable the business to be data-led, and have a deeper understanding of their business unit. You have a good understanding of modern data stacks and a background in working with SQL and/or BI tools. You have vast experience in transforming raw data to a clean and usable form.

WHO YOU ARE: Take ownership of the transformation layer in the BI and Data environment. Prioritise the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of analytic-ready data in the data warehouse. Collaborate with business and other technical teams, utilising fit-for-purpose technology and methodologies with the aim of providing the business with unambiguous data modeled for insightful, impactful and easily understood analysis. WHAT YOU HAVE: This job is for you if you have: Experience in working in BI & data environments. 2+ years of working in SQL as a primary language. Building and maintaining data transformations. Strong knowledge of data modelling techniques and best practices. High end problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to create simple solutions to complex problems. Knowledge of data engineering tools. Knowledge of software engineering practices. Knowledge of data modeling. Fast learner with a curiosity of understanding new technology, systems, processes and business objectives. Teaching others through knowledge-sharing sessions and blog posts. One or more of the following will help you stand out: Experience with DBT. Experience with at least one major Cloud Data Warehouse Solution (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery). Experience with GitHub or other version control repositories. Data visualisation / BI tools like QlikSense or PowerBI. Computer Science / Software Engineering experience/training.
