The department is accountable for supervising the business conduct of micro insurers and other financial servicesentities operating in the "micro" or "access product" space. The person appointed in the role will be expected toassist the department to monitor compliance with the provisions of the Financial Sector Regulation Act, 9 of 2017(FSR Act) and other relevant financial sector laws to ensure a sound and efficient micro institutions industry. Theperson appointed to this position will report to the Manager: Micro and Access Product Institutions.A Bachelor's degree in Commerce/Law or related field, coupled with at least 2-3 years' work experience, preferablyin the financial services industry. A good knowledge and understanding of micro institutions and access products inthe financial sector is required.Assist the Manager and Head of department in the development and implementation of an effective andefficient conduct of business supervisory framework for micro institutions, based on the Treating CustomersFairly (TCF) approach;• Assist the Manager and Head of department by recommending and implementing changes to the regulatoryframework and policy within the Organisation;• Monitor compliance with legislation and ensure that unfair treatment of customers by Micro and AccessProduct institutions is attended to;• Responsible for coordinating and conducting on-site inspections, and ensure that matters emanating fromthe inspections are attended to timeously;• Conduct research, coordinate and manage project based activities, and provide support to the Micro andAccess Product Institutions team;• Assist the Manager and Head of department in establishing, implementing and maintaining proper qualitymanagement and control procedures in the department;• Assist the Manager and Head of department in preparing and providing inputs to all statutory and supervisoryreports;• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in respect of regulatory and supervisory matters;• Actively participate in and contribute to industry and Organisation committees as and when required;• Perform administrative and other supervisory activities delegated by the Manager and Head of department
