Analyst, Finance Operations Reconciliation Support SpecialistJob OverviewBusiness Segment: Corporate & Investment BankingLocation: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30Is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting generated across specified trading systems on a daily basis (ACBS, Murex MM and Murex Core). This includes reconciliation platforms Oracle and Bank Analyser. Responsible for resolution and highlighting risks and issues to managers and key stakeholders. Supports end users by highlighting reconciliation issues and keeping them abreast of daily outputs, assisting with resolution as a subject matter expert. Analyses and documents business requirements on behalf of Product Control for new products or enhancements, providing oversight with the implementation of changes by various work streams.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsType of Qualification:IT qualification/knowledge advantageous but not essential.Experience Required5-7 years experience of operating as the interface and accounting support between Finance & IT on Global systems with:Excellent banking knowledge with preference to candidates with prior exposure to Investment Banking and Derivative products.Strong understanding of accounting principles relating to products traded.Solid understanding of the broad Finance environment through to GL.Solid understanding of integration techniques.Wide-based trading and finance systems knowledge.Implementation and configuration of solutions including as-is and future state analysis.Additional InformationArticulating InformationDocumenting FactsExamining InformationFollowing ProceduresInteracting with PeopleInterpreting DataInviting FeedbackResolving ConflictTaking ActionUpholding StandardsKnowledge and understanding of IT applications and architecture.Advanced computer literacy on Excel, Windows, essential.Experience with accounting module configuration of trading systems e.g., ACBS, Murex, Alteryx, Bank Analyser, SAP BW, SAP BPC, SQL.Implementation and configuration of solutions including as-is and future state analysis, developing process and system specifications.Reviewing technical specifications and system configuration.
