Fintech CEO's OfficeJob DescriptionMission/ Core Purpose of the Job• Manage the MFS reporting and accounting requirements in collaboration with the MFS team and the broader MTN SA stakeholders.• Manage the MFS expenditure budget including tracking of expenses, facilitation of payments, management of budget transfers, and preparation of monthly financial reports.• Give inputs into and facilitate the business planning process for MTN SA.ResponsibilitiesContext• Highly dynamic and fluctuating Telecommunications industry.• Within the legal, regulatory, and commercial environment of South Africa (IFRS, FICA, VAT, Tax Act, AML, etc.).• Fast-moving industry with context changes in terms of technology advancements and legislative changes.• Highly regulated financial services products and services with a pressurized environment and strict month-end deadlines.Key Performance AreasBusiness Planning & Budgeting• Assist with the high-level and detailed business planning processes for the MFS business unit.• Engage MFS budget holders to obtain operation budget requirements for the business planning and forecasting periods.• Compile the necessary submissions to finance to secure Opex and Capex budget for the business unit.• Prepare budgets and forecasts on the financial performance of the business unit up to EBITDA level.Accounting• Extract performance information for monthly reporting for MFS.• Actively engage with finance to ensure accurate and timely reporting for all MFS related products into the General Ledger.• Collaborate with finance in managing the external statutory audits for year-end and interim for all MFS related Products and Services.• Ensure timely distribution of monthly reports.Expense Management• Management of the expenditure budget including facilitating budget transfers and tracking and reporting on year-to-date (YTD) spend.Reporting & Insights• Assist in preparing regulatory compliance reports with regards to AML and other legislations.• Compile and present detailed reports on KPIs and the overall financial and non-financial performance.QualificationsJob Requirements (Education, Experience, and Competencies)Education:• 3-year Degree / Diploma in Financial Management / Accounting or related field.Experience:• 1-year experience in reporting, financial management, accounting, or other related fields.Training:• Time management training• Industry-specific financials and compliance• Systems training e.g. Oracle Financials, Hyperion, OBIEECompetencies• Analytical Thinker• Problem Solver• Operational Value Creator• Culture and Change Champion• Supportive People Manager• Relationship Manager• Results Achiever• Operationally AstuteAbout UsWe are a purpose and value-led organization committed to fostering an environment where every member of our Y'ello Family is heard, understood, and empowered to live an inspired life.About the TeamThe Human Resources team partners with all aspects of the organization, driving success through the effective and innovative management of people for both current and future business needs.
