Position: Project LeadType: PermanentLocation: South AfricaAbout the Project Lead RoleWe are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Project Lead to take over the leadership of the Amplify Mobilise Change project in 2025.Amplify Mobilise Change (AMC) is a successful DG Murray Trust innovation project that seeks to empower South African civil society organisations through the strategic use of online communication and technology.We teach and train organisations how to critically analyse, strategise and drive social impact through innovative digital communication strategies, develop stronger online presences and more sustainable communication practices that lead to measurable social change.Started in 2019, AMC has trained and worked closely with roughly 300 organisations and almost 500 practitioners in its flagship programme and has also cultivated a broad sector community reach. Over the past 6 years, AMC has developed into a highly integrated learning ecosystem that offers high-value mentorship, workshops, technical support, and community-building opportunities for civil society communicators and leaders in South Africa.Minimum RequirementsThe role requires someone who is independent, confident, and compassionate with strong management skills who seeks out new, effective opportunities and innovative ways of problem-solving.Our ideal candidate is well-versed in local storytelling and narrative transformation work and is established in social development practices. They are a seasoned online writer and content creator, have deep technical and strategic expertise in online tools and digital learning, and possess rich knowledge and passion for how technology and information drive social change in nuanced and locally relevant ways in South Africa.Degree in or related to Communications, Education, Online Learning Design, Technology or Social Development, with specialisation relevant to the work of Amplify Mobilise Change.You will have a combination of online technological expertise, writing, creative content, narrative transformation work experience, as well as mentorship and education knowledge and agile project management experience.Work experience: 5-10 years of experience in leading projects in digital learning design, curriculum development, and digital communication – within the local civil society or nonprofit context.ResponsibilitiesCurriculum and Materials Development: Spearhead the ongoing development and enhancement of AMC's training programmes and materials, ensuring our work remains cutting-edge, authentic and impactful.Technical Support and Oversight: Manage AMC's Moodle LMS, ensuring it's secure, user-friendly, and offers a seamless learning experience.Network Engagement, Communication, and Collaboration: Work with civil society and NGO partners to ensure AMC resources address sector challenges and advance justice and innovation.Online Learning Innovation: Expand AMC's reach, including its structured programmes, webinars, self-paced learning, and sector-specific resources.Online Training and Strategic Mentorship: Provide personalised mentorship and strategic support to programme cohorts and alumni.Monitoring and Evaluation: Use AMC's framework to measure programme impact at individual, organisational, and sector levels.Team Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a small, dynamic team responsible for content, technical support, and programme management.Admin and Project Management: Manage AMC's project roadmaps and timelines.How to ApplyApplicants should submit their CV and motivational letter by 13 January 2025 by clicking here.
