A key channel within the Maersk sales team in South Africa is looking for a dynamic and proactive Airfreight Sales Representative in Johannesburg.
The successful individual will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships within an assigned portfolio, focusing on a medium-impact client base. The role involves achieving sales goals, both in acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing clients.
Key Responsibilities:Customer Development: Focus on acquiring new airfreight customers while also growing sales within the existing customer base.
Sales Strategy: Use company systems and tools to identify targets, proposals, and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Sales Performance: Set and meet goals for sales activities and revenue, with a focus on achieving targets every quarter.
Collaboration & Training: Participate in team meetings, regular training sessions, and work closely with other teams to maintain high product, service, and market knowledge.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a positive customer experience and gathering feedback.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with internal teams to ensure alignment in achieving sales targets and enhancing customer satisfaction.
Self-Management: Work independently while maintaining focus on sales objectives and contributing positively to the company culture.
Requirements:Experience:Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the Air freight industry, with a deep understanding of logistics processes.
Proven ability to craft effective value propositions for customers.
Relationship Building:Skilled at establishing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships at various levels, especially with key decision-makers and influencers.
Proven success in negotiating with customers to drive successful outcomes.
Ability to build a wide network and easily connect with new contacts.
Strategic Thinking:Strong financial acumen to develop effective strategies and understand the economics of accounts.
