Aircraft Prepper

Our client, a leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Prepper to join their team.

Requirements: Matric qualification.
A minimum of 1-year hands-on experience in aircraft preparation.
Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
Strong time management and physical stamina.
In-depth knowledge of preparation methods, including rotary and manual flatting techniques.
Ability to use flatting papers and perform inspection criteria.
Flexible, adaptable and up to date with preparation processes.
Strong mathematical skills for quick mental calculations.
Key Responsibilities: Execute tasks as per daily schedule and ensure consumables are pre-ordered.
Prepare aircraft components for paint application through masking, sanding, buffing, and spot priming; occasionally use body filling and defect repair methods.
Inspect components for damages or defects before and after preparation to ensure quality standards.
Remove scratches, swirl marks, and other imperfections from prepared surfaces.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely task completion.
Maintain traceability documentation for all components from start to finish.
Adhere to hazardous waste handling protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Uphold high housekeeping standards in line with the company's 5S policy.
