How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible for the technical activities comprising the project scope, under the overall management of a Project Manager. He is responsible for the control of those activities, from feasibility through basic and detailed engineering to construction, commissioning support and the final issue of end of project documentation. A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate at all levels, the Project Engineer will manage the interface between a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and the client's project team.
Participate in the development of proposals, including the execution strategy for new projects.
Participate in the set up of the agreed baseline programme. Monitor progress against this baseline and conduct pro-active risk management where necessary to ensure that this schedule is maintained.
Management of all pre-engineering activities up to order placement for equipment. (Contract review, resource planning, framing, scope development, bidding, scheduling, etc.)
Ensure that procurement activities are carried out as per the Procurement Operating Plan - compile commercial and technical procurement specifications for tendering through adjudication and order placement.
Assist Project Manager with management of general project functions:
Project communication management, scheduling & reporting,Project cost control, invoicing,Engineering interface management,Review of designs and documentationInterface management with client and the appointed EPC contractors.
Ensure that the quality of all work is in accordance with the project specification.
Assist client personnel with commissioning activities.
Are you a MATCH?A qualified engineer with design and commissioning experience, who wishes to progress from discipline engineers role to that of a Project Engineer.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES The E&C Centre is a small office and you will be expected to perform a number of functions and activities that may well be outside the responsibility of a Project Engineer in a bigger office.
You will be expected to work without constant supervision, show initiative and to plan and execute tasks within deadlines.
