About The Position A challenging position, to become part of the Agricultural Development management team with its vision is to develop sustainable new farmers, is offered. The ideal team player will be required to have a thorough understanding of agricultural development, land reform, project management and stakeholder relations. Good business sense and the ability to relate with both commercial and developing farmers, will be essential.
Skills and Qualifications Relevant Post graduate qualification in Development, Agriculture and Management.At least 5 years of experience within Agricultural environment.Knowledge of practical and business side of farming.Knowledge of the agricultural policy, trade issues and sustainability.Understanding of the agricultural supply chain, commodity markets and farm management practices.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and engage with diverse stakeholders.Good interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.Flexibility in work hours may be required to accommodate project deadlines and stakeholder meeting.Duties and Responsibilities Establishment of partnerships between commercial and new era farmers.Business model development, planning and financing.Administration of project management, proposals, presentations, business planning and contracting.External relations and stakeholder management.Training of participating commercial and developing farmers.This position may involve fieldwork and travel to agricultural sites, as well as office-based research and analysis.Prepare detailed reports summarising research findings, analysis and recommendations for stakeholders.Evaluate the effects of government policies and programs on agricultural productivity and market dynamics.Work with agricultural producers, government agencies and other stakeholders to provide insights that supports strategic planning and decision-making.Keep abreast of current trends and development in agricultural economics, including market fluctuations and policy changes.Provide expert advice to management and stakeholders regarding economic issues impacting the agricultural sector.Conduct workshops, seminars and training sessions for agricultural professionals on economic principles and practices.Other Information The company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.VKB Group and/or its subsidiary companies will use any personal data collected through the job opportunities section of this website for recruitment purposes only and, should your application be successful, for purposes connected with your employment.VKB Group is an equal opportunity employer.
