Agri Trading Business Controller-Trade Accounting

StellenboschMarket related salaryEssential Requirements For ConsiderationBachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, or a related field (master's degree or CA(SA) preferred).Min 5 years' experience in financial analysis, reporting, and business controlling.Must have a strong TRADE ACCOUNTING background preferably from the Agri Industry.A US CPA or US GAAP qualification or experience is a plus.Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.Proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesTrade Accounting:Responsibility for the accuracy of trade accounting in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards for management reporting.Financial Analysis:Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making.Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations.Support trading units with insights into return on working capital and profitability, seeking opportunities for efficiencies and improvements.Internal Controls And Compliance:Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard the company.Review and approve payments and credit notes.Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulations.Business Partnering:Act as a finance partner to various business units, providing financial insights and guidance.Support operational and strategic initiatives with financial expertise and an understanding of trading economics.Process Improvement:Obtain a deep understanding of all the systems and processes of the trading, operations, and finance teams to advise on best practices.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in trade accounting and operations.Lead and participate in projects to enhance financial systems and processes.If you have not received any feedback from us within 5 working days please consider your application unsuccessful.By sending your CV along with other additional documents you give consent to HWR to process and retain your personal information for the current opportunity as well as for future opportunities.Desired SkillsTrade AccountingFinanceAccountingBusiness ControllerComplianceFinancial AnalysisReportingForecastingDesired Work Experience5 to 10 yearsDesired Qualification LevelDegree
