Oakhill College Afrikaans Teacher (Grade 8 -12)A co-educational day school situated in the beautiful town of Knysna, on the Garden Route, seeks to appoint a vibrant, energetic Afrikaans First Additional Language Teacher in the College to join a team of remarkable quality. The school has an outstanding academic record with a 100% pass rate in the IEB examination.
The successful candidate will be expected to: Possess a proven academic record and appropriate professional qualification and experienceHave taught Afrikaans at Grade 8-12 level (Matric marking would be an advantage)Have a current SACE accreditationHave a passion for teaching and nurturing a love for the Afrikaans language with excellent subject knowledgeMaintain standards of academic excellence and identify areas that require interventionBe skilled at facilitating classes with a diversity of needsEncourage critical thinking and student engagementBe innovative in the use of technology to enhance learning and teaching and use a variety of delivery methodsFacilitate tailored learning experiences appropriate to the needs and demands for students to reach their true potentialPossess excellent organisational and administrative skillsWork collaboratively within the academic team to assess, contemplate, and enhance pedagogical methodsCreate assessments which deepen teaching and learningHave the ability to build healthy relationships with students, parents and staffHave well-developed interpersonal and communication skillsBe actively involved in the school's co-curricular programmePlease submit a CV with a covering letter to ******
