Our client is looking for an experienced and strategic Africa Sourcing Specialist to manage procurement operations across multiple countries. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sourcing Capex, chemicals, ingredients, and technical services, with a proven ability to drive cost savings and optimize procurement processes. This role will oversee a large scope of spend across operations in Africa, ensuring compliance, supplier performance, and effective supply chain management. Responsibilities: Oversee procurement of Capex, MRO, spares, utilities, chemicals, ingredients, and technical services across African operations. Manage a total spend scope of approximately $100 million per annum, consolidating group orders for cost savings and better pricing negotiations. Lead the process for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Proposal (RFP), ensuring compliance with company guidelines. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and procurement optimization strategies. Manage and evaluate supplier performance on a quarterly basis, working closely with the operations division to gather feedback and identify new suppliers. Develop and track supply chain effectiveness metrics, regularly reporting on procurement performance. Provide recommendations for streamlining and improving procurement processes. Key Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience in leading procurement projects and supplier transitions. Ability to work across multiple geographies and manage large-scale procurement operations. Proficiency in SAP and Ariba systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on cost savings and process optimization. 10-12 years of business experience, with 5-8 years in a similar sourcing role within a manufacturing company. Experience in the Food FMCG or a similar industry. Expertise in developing and implementing end-to-end procurement strategies. Experience working across diverse regions and managing international supplier relationships. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Technical, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
