Role: Safeguarding Social Worker

We have the opportunity for a qualified social worker with previous experience of working with children in a safeguarding role to join our Department of People.
The successful applicant will be required to work directly with families and children and deliver interventions where necessary. They will be expected to undertake assessments or existing care, plan future care and always work in accordance with statutory requirements and our departmental policies.
Working closely with partner agencies, this role will have an allocated caseload covering children in need of protection, those requiring adoption and 'looked after' children.
Applicants should demonstrate excellent record keeping and report writing skills as well as show they are organised and committed to working as part of a team.
Finally, to be successful in their application, candidates must have a social work qualification, DIPSW or equivalent, DBS clearance and full driving licence.
