Job ResponsibilitiesStay abreast of international tax laws and regulations affecting expatriates.Provide legal advice to clients on compliance with tax obligations in both home and host countries.Assist clients in understanding and navigating complex international tax treaties.Consultation and Advisory:Conduct consultations with clients to assess their specific expatriate tax needs.Develop and implement tax-efficient strategies for expatriates, considering both home and host country tax implications.Advise clients on legal considerations related to expatriate compensation, benefits, and allowances.Documentation and Reporting:Prepare and review legal documentation related to expatriate assignments, including tax equalization agreements and international assignment policies.Ensure accurate and timely filing of required tax forms and reports for expatriates.Identify and mitigate legal and tax risks associated with expatriate assignments.Provide guidance on potential legal issues related to expatriate tax planning and compliance.Client Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing ongoing support.Collaborate with other professionals, such as accountants and HR specialists, to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.Desired Experience & QualificationsBCom Law qualification or a degree in a related field.2 - 5 years of experience as a consultant working in a corporate environment would be advantageous.Proven experience as an attorney specializing in international taxation.Specific experience in expatriate tax matters is highly desirable.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.Proficiency and fluency in Afrikaans and relevant languages, especially when dealing with clients from different linguistic backgrounds.Package & RemunerationHR Services, Recruitment & Selection
