Job Title: Admissions ClerkReports to: Reception Supervisor.Job SummaryTo plan and coordinate the end-to-end management of reception and administrative tasks for the hospital in alignment with Group quality standards.Minimum Qualifications And ExperienceAdministrative Qualification / NQF Level 51-2 years' experience in general office administration.Health-related qualification/certificate (advantageous)Knowledge of ICD codesKnowledge of medical / clinical terminologyAdvanced Computer LiteracySAP will be an advantageMinimum Job Requirements:Professionally and diligently attend to all patient and customer queriesAttend to calls received at front deskPhysically inspect and ensure the admissions / reception area is well maintained each dayProvide adequate information to customers and patients with regards to admissions and booking in accordance with Clinix standardsProcess healthcare forms (and all related documentation)Assist patients to accurately complete appropriate forms and documents, where requiredObtain all required information and documentation from patients on admission i.e., Identity document and current/valid Medical Scheme card, as per the company policies and proceduresAccurately capture patient information upon admissionEnsure the admitting and treating doctor are accurately captured on the approved systemEscalate any issues to the Reception SupervisorExecute daily tasks in a manner that maintains patient confidentialityComplete the discharge process as and when necessaryComplete pre-admissions and pre-authorizations and accurately capture the information on the approved system (Inclusive of completing the Patient Master Index with authorization / reference numbers, ICD codes (where applicable), diagnoses (where relevant) and all other relevant information
